Before NaNoWrimo, I had set myself a goal. This is not going well. I’m not sure if it’s the story or the fact that I had a shitty and incomplete outline… But here’s the good news, I’m building a Pinterest mood board, which might be a way of procrastinating, but at least I’m engaging with my story!

I’ve also realised that I’m going to be undertaking lots of writing projects this month that is unrelated to my NaNo novel, which would take up quite some time -time that could otherwise be spent working on the novel, hehe. So hey, I thought, words are still words. I’m still writing each and every one of them, so why not as well count ’em, eh?

And so, with this post I am officially announcing my new status, not as a rule-abiding participant, but as a NaNo rebel.

Rebels are all about bending the rules, be it writing short stories, non-fiction, multiple projects, even editing old works! So if novels aren’t really your thing, who says you can’t join in the NaNo hype? Come join the rebels.
