Nowadays, there are so many at-home workout videos on YouTube that finding the right one has become an effort in itself.
I’ve gathered some of my favorite at-home workout videos. Of course, sometimes I like to browse for new videos. These are just my go-to choices that never fail to give me a good workout.
It’s a long list, so I’ve divided it into 5 categories: full body, abs, upper body, lower body and stretches.
Full Body Workouts
Natacha Océane’s 20-Minute No Noise Full Body Workout
Natacha is one of my favorite fitness influencers, period. I really enjoy her unique and explosive style of workout. She always features new movements in each of her videos, which keeps things exciting!
This one is great for a quick full body sweat and is apartment-friendly too. Just be warned, the movements look easy, but are definitely not.
MadFit’s 15-Minute Dance Workout
This is a really fun dance workout for those who, like me, aren’t necessarily gifted in dancing (I swear, I dance like a plank board). Maddie uses familiar songs and although her movements are quite simple, they’ll make you feel a tiny bit like a dancer.
The workout doesn’t feel like 15 minutes, and it will raise your heart rate in the most fun way possible.
MadFit’s Low Impact Full Body HIIT
Another video by MadFit. This one’s perfect for when you don’t feel like jumping around, but still want to get in a good workout. It’s also great for those living in apartments or student houses and don’t want anyone complaining to your noises.
Again, simple movements that are easy by themselves, but get more challenging when done in a circuit.
Jordan Yeoh’s 20-Minute Hardcore Full Body Cardio
I discovered Jordan’s channel a few months ago and I’ve been doing his workouts a lot!
What I love about them is he uses really simple movements and provide variations for different fitness levels. You’ll be doing tons of basic moves like jumping jacks, high knees, push-up and squat variations and planks.
I’ll guarantee by the end of this 20 minutes, you’ll be dripping with sweat.
Jordan Yeoh’s 40-Minute Intensive Full Body Cardio
Another one by Jordan Yeoh, this is for when you’re feeling more active and want a longer cardio workout.
Featuring: lots and lots of burpees.
Ab Workouts
Blogilates’ Extreme 25-Minute Total Abs Workout
One of my recent favorites! You’ve probably heard of Cassey Ho, aka Blogilates. She’s one of the first fitness YouTubers out there and let me just say, her workouts are tough.
Surprisingly, this 25-minute ab workout isn’t actually as crazy as it sounds. She divides the workout into five rounds (upper ab, lower ab, center ab, obliques and total core) of 5 movements and I think that actually makes them more manageable.
The best thing? There’s no mountain climbers.
Emi Wong’s 15-Minute Abs Workout
You might have heard of Chloe Ting and her booming ab challenges, but I personally feel her workouts can be a tad too hard.
Emi Wong, however, is at the perfect level of not-too-impossible that it just makes you feel out-of-shape, but still challenging enough to make you feel the burn.
This video is great to mix into your home workout routine. I like doing it before my main workout, as that will ensure my core is engaged throughout the workout!
MadFit’s “Watermelon Sugar” Abs Workout
Super short and quick! This workout lasts exactly as long as Harry Styles’ song does (2:54).
Maddie also has other song workouts on her channel. Lots of them are excruciatingly difficult, but this one is actually doable…
Arm & Upper Body Workouts
Blogilates’ Quick Burn Arms (No Push-Ups)
I was skeptical when I first saw this video. I mean, it’s only around 7 minutes and you’re sitting down the entire time. What kind of a workout is that?
Turns out, one hell of an arm workout. I love adding this routine at the end of my workouts, or when I want to quickly train my arms without doing any more cardio.
Bonus: Cassey is always very motivating in her at-home workout videos. She’d be giving us encouragement and support non-stop, so don’t worry about suddenly losing motivation. She won’t let you!
Pamela Reif’s 10-Minute Upper Body Workout
I found out about Pamela Reif a few weeks ago and have tried a couple of her workouts. They are hard!
This particular video is only 10 minutes, but they sure are quite effective for a quick bodyweight training that targets your upper body. Who says you can’t get stronger without using weights?
Whitney Simmons’ Complete Upper Body (Dumbbell)
Yes, I know I just said that weights aren’t necessary to build strength. And I know not everyone has dumbbells at home, but Whitney’s video is great if you do. This one targets the arms, chest, shoulders and back all in one workout!
It’s not real heavy on the cardio aspect, but focuses more on strength training.
Leg & Booty Workouts
MadFit’s 20-Minute Lower Body Workout (No Equipment)
Another MadFit video! Who’s surprised?
This one is an all-round leg workout that targets your booty, quads, thighs and even calves. The video is already quite tough in itself, but feel free to add small weights (dumbbells, plates, water bottles) to take it up a notch!
Blogilates’ 20-Minute Glute Workout
I don’t know if you can notice, but Cassey (Blogilates) is a queen of isolating muscle parts. Just like her arm workout earlier in this list, the movements in this glute workout are simple and slow, but burns.
Stretching and Flexibility
Natacha Oceane’s 10-Minute Full Body Stretch
This is probably one my favorite stretching routines on YouTube. It includes movements for every part of your body, from your back, hips, quads to wrists! Natacha says we can do this routine for either warm up or cool down, but I personally like doing it before my workouts.
Tom Merrick’s Beginner Flexibility Routine
This is focused more on your flexibility. I’d recommend doing it after you’ve cooled down properly, as it’s all about stretching your muscles and improving mobility.
Better yet, do this first thing in the morning or at night before bed.
There are probably hundred of thousands of free workout videos out there, but it’s unlikely that you’ll ever get to try them all. It’s all a matter of finding out the types of videos that work for you. Remember, the best way to get in shape is to do it for the right motivations. We all want to shed those extra weight and boast our six-packs, but exercising is also about how it makes us feel. For me, I love feeling strong and working towards my fitness goals.
I hope you’ll try some these at-home workout videos and tell me how it went!
