In the beginning of September, when I should’ve been spending the long weekend studying, me and my family flew to Bali instead. No regrets.
I’ve always been one to enjoy weekend getaways, last time it was Singapore. I’m just super grateful to escape my hectic school routine for a couple of days, hit the beach, not think about anything important and just savor each moment I breathed the fresh air of Bali (though to be fair, Kuta area is now a little too crowded for my taste).
The actual reason behind our little vacation was to give my grandparents a weekend’s break. Just sitting by the water, sipping some [juice], catch up with their girls and grandkids. We all (me and my cousins) benefited from that, though.
Mostly we just chilled out and had a good laugh or two, but on day two I took the time to walk to Kerta Bookshop, in search for a few more good books to read. I ended up with a second-hand copy of Atwood’s Stone Mattress and The Girl in the Spider’s Web, without realizing the latter is the fourth book of a series. Great, just great. Now I’ll just have to purchase the first three books before I can dive into that one.
